In this video, I talk about how to play a short-sided bunker shot. It’s really important that you set up to the shot correctly and understand how to open the clubface to create the loft, where to position the ball, and where to align your body so that the swinging technique becomes really simple. Once you are set up the right way, it’s simply a matter of using gravity, i.e., what goes up must come down. Using your wrists correctly, swinging the club on the right path, and releasing it at impact will guarantee you success at these shots. Remember, the shots need a lot of practice, so once you’ve got the technique right, go and practice the shots as often as possible so that you become 100% confident when faced with a short-sided bunker shot.
