visiting from tx….

This week we had the pleasure of meeting Luis, his wife Erika and their 8 year old son.

Nothing unusual in that you may think until we explain we are in Royal Leamington Spa and they are from Texas.

📘Several weeks ago Luis made contact with me. He and his family were embarking on a trip of a lifetime for a European road trip. He’s remote working and their son is home schooled. Whilst visiting London they also wanted to pop in for a couple of hours golf coaching with Julian. The lovely surprises that YouTube dispatches.

🏌️‍♂️People that meet us online and whilst ‘passing’ pop in for coaching. Beautiful.

😻 What I love about my role in the business as Head of Client Experience is ensuring their whole experience from first contact to final farewell is first class. From making sure they know their train times, putting the flags out to announce their arrival, where we are located and recording a video of what to look out for en route and entry to our venue phone numbers, emergency contact details, hot coffee on arrival, wifi passwords for home schooling to take place, cup cakes for the little one, taking in our little pooch to dish out cuddles and that everything is tip top for their golf coaching experience. All of it I love. I hope they loved it as much as I did.

✈️What makes Proper Golfing different is not just the outstanding level of knowledge from Julian Mellor but the love that we give to all clients, especially those who have never been out of the USA before, still dealing with jet lag and have a super little fella in tow too. (And got slightly overcome by the overcrowding at Euston yesterday that they spent nearly £200 on an Uber from London to Leamington to make sure they hit their slot).

Ending the golf session, Luis said “wow. Amazing! Julian has completely unlocked me” . He’ll be touching base after his travels. Awesome.

What a lovely experience for us all.
